Rob has been an avid sporting/target shooter for most of his life. As a young child his grandfather, father, and 2 uncles taught him how to shoot on the family farm. In his early 20’s, he became very interested in pistol shooting and started reloading. As time progressed, he became interested in the defensive shooting sports and now participate in IPDA-type shooting leagues.
Rob enjoys learning and helping others achieve their goals. In 2010, a local Pastor encouraged him to blend the disciplines of pistol shooting with teaching others and serving the Lord. Through the influence and encouragement from family members, pastors, friends, mentors, and others; he formed Double Tap Academy to help fellow shooters and extend the shooting sports.
